Horror!

“By the Word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.  He gathers the waters of the sea like a heap, and designates the depths in storehouses.  Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.  For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.  Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He restrains and frustrates the devices of the people.  The counsel of Jehovah stands forever, the thoughts of His heart from generation to generation.  Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah; the people He has chosen for His possession.  Jehovah looks down from Heaven; He watches all the sons of mankind.”  Psalms 33:6-13

There was an incident that occurred in Montana, where an employed man of a fast food joint groped the back half of a young boy in the restroom.  While the situation could have been worse, the police were called and he was arrested.  They found a very inappropriate drawing in his possession and his mugshot appeared in the local news.  While justice is being served and indeed it should be, the facial express on the man’s face is one of pure horror.

He’s been caught, he is going to pay the penalty for his crime.  Apparently he lost all self control and being enslaved by sin, a servant of the devil, he was caught amidst the maddening deed.  Horror having engulfed him, he now is aware that his sin has caught him, justice awaits.

“you have sinned against Jehovah; and recognize that your sin will find you out.”  Numbers 32:23b

“Some men’s sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later.”  1st Timothy 5:24

President Bill Clinton had a publicly signed treaty on September 13th, 1993, between Israel and the so-called Palestinian Authority.  This, at the time, monumental moment in history was seen by many professing Christians to mark the start of the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation.  These same people stated that the peace treaty was a seven year peace treaty.

News of this peace deal spread fast and there were many people who believed that we were in the Tribulation, until the year 2000 came and went.  Since then, there are often found those who still believe that we are in the Tribulation time period now.  They do have the seven year portion correct, but such speculation shows a major ignorance of what the Bible teaches.  I had long forgotten about this incident, but a recent discussion brought back memories regarding and new thoughts about it.

A lot of misinformation regarding the Oslo Accord was put out there by some people, accompanied by a lack of biblical teaching and the false notion was shared back and forth numerous times between a decent amount of people.  Yet I had only ever considered the fallacy in such a theory on the basis that the Oslo Accord was already done in secret before the public ceremony on the White House lawn.

With that reality in mind, I had stated previously that one should not assume to ‘get right with God’ as the signing ceremony is about to happen.  My reasoning was the fact that essentially, though not inked in the legal terms of mankind, the treaty was already in full effect as it had been agreed upon by both parties.

Just as a handshake for some businessmen is a done deal, others need a more formal approach.  Likewise, just as a handshake business deal can go south, even the Oslo Accord, despite being signed by both parties, can also go south.  The reasoning was pointing out that such a peace treaty could be signed or agreed upon prior to anyone knowing and therefore it is very unwise to assume to get right with God at the moment that the supposed evidence of His existence and the truth of His Word becomes confirmed in your mind, as apparently such people do not believe what God’s Word clearly states.

“I declared my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will confess my transgression to Jehovah, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.  For this let everyone who is godly pray unto You, in a time when You may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near him.”  Psalms 32:5-6

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He is now restraining, until it is raised from out of the midst.  And then the lawless one will be unveiled, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”  2nd Thessalonians 2:7-12

“And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week.”  Daniel 9:27a

“For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”  2nd Corinthians 6:2

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has established a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has appointed. He has given assurance of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”  Acts 17:30-31

Yet the other day it finally occurred to me the real fallacy of those who thought that we had entered the Tribulation time period.  Let me interject here real quick, that those who truly know the Lord, those who have repented and by faith believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, will not be here…period.  Right there, is a major root of the problem, of which has been discussed in the past.

“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we watch or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore encourage each other and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”  1st Thessalonians 5:9-11

If you are reading this or listening to the radio show in the future and you assumed you were Saved and are talking with others who likewise claim to be Christians and people have disappeared, the Antichrist has risen to power and you are truly in the Tribulation period, understand and understand well, you are not Saved, neither are those who claimed to be Saved prior and are standing amongst you.  Unless you were one of those who knew the Truth and purposely were putting off Salvation, in order that you might continue in your wicked ways for some time longer, Salvation is still readily available to all who will receive it, albeit let it be understood that at this time of period in the history of this Created world, you will not only give your life to Jesus, but you will most certainly give your life for Him.

I considered this movement that took place, while I was still young and just going out in the world on my own.  What I never contemplated was people’s reaction to such a thing.  Think about it for a moment.

These same people WHO ARE MORE THAN WILLING to tell you that there is no pretrib Rapture and that at some point you will find yourself in the midst of the Tribulation, what was their reaction to the fact that they believed, on more than one occasion, as I am certain that there are also those who believe that we are currently, as of this writing, in the Tribulation, what was/is their response to such unbiblical revelations?

Where is the repentance?  Do they fall down on their face before God Almighty and repent?  Do they truly follow Christ (recall they argue they are already saved) with their whole heart?  Do they then truly believe what the Bible says?  Or are they more of the sort to just run around like chickens with their heads cut off, declaring to any who will listen that of which they know nothing of?

“And Jehovah said to me, The prophets prophesy lies in My name; I did not send them, nor have I commanded them, nor did I speak to them. They prophesy to you a false vision and a worthless divination, and a thing of no value, and the deceit of their heart.”  Jeremiah 14:14

“For they have healed the ruin of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.  Were they ashamed when they had committed abominations? No, they were not at all ashamed, nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; in the time of their punishment they shall be cast down, says Jehovah.”  Jeremiah 8:11-12

If they and the world only realized the horror of such a situation is akin to a man being caught in a grievous crime.  Their sin has found them out, they have been Left Behind.  Yet instead of the horror that should encompass those who had not purposely denied the Truth, their attitudes are incorrect and their ignorance is apparent to no one, as during that time, at that moment, all who were Saved are now gone from the earth, the Church age is officially over.

“And in that day Jehovah of Hosts called for weeping and mourning, and for baldness, and for girding with sackcloth.  But behold, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine, saying, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”  Isaiah 22:12-13

There are tons of scoffers out there nowadays who deny the Rapture, who even say that (and yes I am talking about some pastors) the Rapture is only for those who God wants to remove, as if those Christians who will really meet Christ in the air (1 Thes. 4:16-17), are the bad people.  Then again, most pastors and churches just simply don’t talk about these things at all, no wonder the ignorance.  Perhaps that is a good thing, as most churches can not even seem to understand that repentance is necessary for Salvation.  Without repentance, there is no forgiveness (Luke 24:47).

So what is it?  Is the Tribulation a time period in which those who are in unbelief can now truly believe God’s Word because they now possess evidence to stories that they had heard growing up?!  For of what value is it to them?

“Woe to those who desire the day of Jehovah! Of what good is this to you? The day of Jehovah is darkness, and not light.  It is as if a man fled before a lion, and a bear met him. Or he goes into the house and leans his hand against the wall, and a snake bites him.  Is not the day of Jehovah darkness, and not light; even very dark, and not any brightness in it?”  Amos 5:18-20

Just as the man was caught in his act, fortunately before it became even worse, so too will mankind be caught in their sin.  For when the time finally comes and the world finds itself truly in the Tribulation, those who are wise and able, should fall down before God Almighty with a heart of sackcloth, contrite before Him, accepting by faith Jesus Christ, fully believing the Gospel.

“Tell it to the nations: Behold! proclaim against Jerusalem! Watchers are going to come from a distant land; and they will utter their voice against the cities of Judah.  Like keepers of a field, they are against her all around; because she has rebelled against Me, says Jehovah.  Your way and your doings have procured these things for you; this is your evil, because it is bitter, because it reaches to your heart.  My stomach, my stomach! I am convulsed to my heart! My heart groans within me; I cannot be silent because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the shofar, the alarm of war.  Destruction upon destruction is proclaimed; for the whole land is devastated. Suddenly my tents are destroyed, my curtains in a moment.  How long shall I see the standard and hear the sound of the shofar?  For My people are foolish; they have not known Me; they are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.  I looked on the earth, and, lo, it was without form and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.  I looked on the mountains, and, lo, they quaked; and all the hills moved to and fro.  I looked, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled.  I looked, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of Jehovah, before His fierce anger.  For thus Jehovah has said, The whole land shall be desolate, yet I will not make a full end.  The earth shall mourn for this, and the heavens above shall be black, because I have spoken, I have purposed, and will not be moved to pity, nor will I turn back from it.  Every city shall flee at the sound of the horsemen and bowmen. They shall go into thickets and climb up among the rocks. Every city is abandoned, and not a man shall live in them.  And you, what will you do when you are ruined? Though you dress with crimson, though you put on ornaments of gold, though you make your eyes large with paint, you shall make yourself beautiful in vain; your lovers will despise you; they will seek your life.  For I have heard a voice as of a woman in labor, the anguish as of one bearing her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, gasping and spreading her hands, saying, Woe to me now! For my soul is weary because of murderers.”  Jeremiah 4:16-31

“And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.  And I prayed to Jehovah my God, and made my confession, saying, O Lord, the great and awesome Mighty God, keeping the covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,  we have sinned and have committed iniquity and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Your commandments and from Your judgments.  And we have not heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.  O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us the shame of face, as it is this day to the men of Judah, and to those living in Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near and who are afar in all the lands where You have driven them for their unfaithfulness which they have trespassed against You.  O Lord, shame of face belongs to us, to our kings, to our rulers and to our fathers, because we have sinned against You.  To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him.  We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws which he set before us by His servants the prophets.”  Daniel 9:3-10

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.”  Psalms 51:17

The reality of the upcoming “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7):

“For behold, the Lord Jehovah of Hosts takes away the support and the staff from Jerusalem and from Judah; the whole support of bread and the whole support of water; the mighty man, and the man of war; the judge and the prophet, and the diviner, and the elder; the commander of fifty and the honorable man; the counselor and the skilled magician; and the expert enchanter.  And I will give youth to be their rulers, and wanton children shall rule over them.  And the people shall be oppressed, man against man, every man by his neighbor. The youth will be insolent against the elder, and the dishonorable against the honorable.  When a man shall take hold of his brother, in his father’s house, saying, You have clothing! Come, you be our ruler; let this ruin be under your power.  In that day he shall lift himself up and say, I cannot be one who binds up; for there is neither bread nor clothing in my house; do not make me a ruler of the people.  For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen; because their tongue and their deeds are rebellion toward Jehovah and against the eyes of His glory.  The expression of their faces witnesses against them; they have declared their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have recompensed evil upon themselves.  Say to the righteous that it is well; for they shall eat of the fruit of their doings.  Woe to the wicked! For the evil, the recompense of his hand, shall be done unto him.  As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people, those leading you cause you to go astray, and they swallow the way of your paths.  Jehovah stands up to plead His case, and stands up to judge the peoples.  Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of His people, and their rulers. For you have eaten up the vineyard, the plunder of the poor is in your houses.  What do you mean that you crush My people, and grind the faces of the poor? says the Lord Jehovah of Hosts.  Furthermore Jehovah says, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched out necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and make a tinkling with their feet; therefore Jehovah will attach scabs to the top of the head of the daughters of Zion; and Jehovah will lay bare their secret parts.  In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, and their headbands, and their crescents of the moon, the pendants, and the bracelets, and the veils; the turbans, and the leg ornaments, and the sashes, and the perfume boxes, and the amulets; the rings and nose jewels; the festal apparel and the outer garments; and the mantles, and the purses; the mirrors and the fine linen; and the turbans and the veils.  And it shall be, instead of a smell of perfume, there shall be an odor of decay. And instead of a belt, a rope. And instead of well set hair, baldness. And instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.  Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.  And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall sit desolate on the ground.”  Isaiah 3

“For then there will be great affliction, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be kept safe alive; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.  Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ; or, There; do not believe it.  For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.  Behold, I have told you beforehand.”  Matthew 24:21-25

A time of horror is coming upon the whole earth, due to the sins of mankind.  Repent and believe the Gospel (Acts 20:21), before it is too late.

“After these things I looked, and behold, a door having been opened in Heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after these things.”  Revelation 4:1

Amen!
