Give Us Gifts<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”\u00a0 Romans 6:23<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n

“For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;\u00a0 not of works, that no one should boast.”\u00a0 Ephesians 2:8-9<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.\u00a0 For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”\u00a0 John 3:16-17<\/em><\/h3>\n

Today was the day for a needed oil change in my vehicle.\u00a0 I figured the wait would probably be quite less than normal, as it was President’s Day and I was right.\u00a0 As I waited for them to complete the oil change they had Sirius XM on playing classic rock music.\u00a0 A Gun’s ‘n’ Roses song played and then the DJ got on the air, saying how she wished that some of these types of bands would make just one or two more hit songs, that they would give us gifts.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

From a worldly perspective, people who listen to these classic hits, as there have been many whom I worked with in the past who jam to them, probably do consider them to be gifts.\u00a0 Yet just what type of gift is it really?<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.\u00a0 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.\u00a0 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?\u00a0 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?\u00a0 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him! ”\u00a0 Matthew 7:7-11 <\/em><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Briefly this subject was touched on in the last article, talking about how people should be serving Jesus, rather than others.\u00a0 This should be obvious!\u00a0 Yet, consider such a blasphemous statement as wanting more gifts from the famous rock artists, but not understanding the great gift that God has made available to all of mankind, Salvation through Jesus Christ.<\/h3>\n
