Word Study: Repent and other variations of the word.

Introduction:

This word study on repentance is being focused on the Gospels for now.  It should be noted that repent or any variations of that word are not found in the Gospel of John.  This by no means designates that there is any other way for which to receive Salvation, namely repentance and believing into Jesus Christ, the only Way.  This is often the excuse or proof-text, if you will, given by preachers who omit repentance and promote easy-believerism or quick-prayerism.  This word study assignment should leave no question that repentance is indeed necessary for one to enter the kingdom of Heaven, in fact it is necessary for Salvation.
