They Can’t See

“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the emptiness of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to licentiousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.  But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which is corrupted according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”  Ephesians 4:17-24   One wonders with all of the current directions, often negative, that this world is going in, why people can’t see how the foundations for a futuristic, perhaps near term, end of the world scenario, as prophesied in the Bible, appears to be on the edge of fruition.    A couple of days ago I watched part of a DVD video that I own called A Distant Thunder.  I didn’t make it through the whole video, but there was a scene that seemed to be very relevant to the very day and age in which we live, though the Rapture hasn’t taken place yet and people have yet to have been Left Behind.   In this scene and from previous scenes, there is this pastor who...

Emergency!

“Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One adorned in His apparel, flexing His great strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.  Why is Your apparel red, and Your garments like one who treads in the winepress?  I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no one with Me; for I tread them in My anger and trample them in My fury, and their blood is sprinkled on My garments, and I have stained all My apparel.  For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.  And I looked, and there was no one to help; and I wondered that there was no one to uphold; therefore My own arm has given victory for Me; and My fury sustained Me.  And I will tread down the people in My anger, and make them drunk in My fury, and I will bring down their blood to the earth.  I will mention the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has bestowed upon us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel which He has bestowed upon them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.  For He said, Surely they are My people, children that will not lie; so He was their Savior.  In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old....

Temple Rebuilt First?

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”  2nd Thessalonians 2:3-4   “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”  Daniel 9:27   There a belief out there that such things as described throughout this book regarding the Rapture, Tribulation, etc., can not take place unless there is a Temple rebuilt.  This portion of the book is not going to go in depth about the Millennial Temple (Ezek. 40) that will be rebuilt –AFTER- the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), but rather focusing on the simple argument of waiting to see a temple rebuilt, which if one is, will be the Antichrist temple.    There was a huge influx of teaching from the pulpits and interest in end-times event back particularly in the 1990’s.  While the year 2000 (then 2005, finally 2012) in and of itself certainly would have led to a significant amount of interest in such events, however, the EU formed approximately seven years prior to the year 2000.  Right there set off an avalanche of end...

Ships of Chittim – Tidbit Regarding the Antichrist Reign

“For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.”  Daniel 11:30   “And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.”  Numbers 24:24   Recently I had a discussion with a pastor who mentioned Balaam’s prophecy and the ships of Chittim, this in retrospect to the Antichrist.   The suggestion here was that these might be merchant ships and possibly be related to the United States of America.   “And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?  And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”  Daniel 12:8-9   Once again, just as Daniel did not understand everything, so too, I do not proclaim to have all of the answers, nonetheless I found this to be an interesting conversation, as I had never studied into that verse of Daniel, let alone correlated it with a prophecy from Balaam.   Now readers know that there is strong evidence as mentioned in Brandon’s article The Night is Far Spent – Article Seven, to suggest that if we are in the last days and the time is soon coming upon us, where is the Revived Roman Empire, could it not be the United States of America.   The argument was...

Tidbit About the Antichrist

“He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.”  Daniel 11:41   Concerning the Antichrist, written about in both the book Repent! and The End…if the Antichrist enters the glorious land (Israel?), then where does he come...

The Time of Jacob’s Trouble – Final

Second Coming   As should be understood at this point, there is the appearing of Jesus and the Second Coming, these are two separate events, one is the Rapture prior to the Seventh Week or the Tribulation, the other is His actual Second Coming (2 Tim. 4:1).  These two should not be mistaken.  The chapter His Glorious Appearing goes over the truth of this matter.   The battle of Armageddon began and quickly it ended.  The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is now at hand, the Savior of the world has finally come!!!   “And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall split in two, from the east even to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”  Zechariah 14:4   “I saw in the night visions. And behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of the heavens. And He came to the Ancient of Days. And they brought Him near before Him.  And dominion was given to Him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”  Daniel 7:13-14   “The burden of the Word of Jehovah against the land of Hadrach, and its resting place, Damascus, (when the eyes of man, and all the tribes of Israel are toward Jehovah), and Hamath also borders on...
