Attributes of a Christian (Bible Verses)

 

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”  Galatians 5:22-23

 

“And not only that, but we also exult in afflictions, knowing that affliction produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.  And hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”  Romans 5:3-5

 

A Christian by definition is a follower of Jesus Christ.  Someone who truly follows Jesus has accepted the gift of Salvation, given themselves over to Christ through repentance and believing into Him.

 

The attributes of such a person are that they become more and more holy and pure as their lives go on, growing in the knowledge of Him who Created them, striving to do His will and through their lives, producing the fruits worthy of such a thing.
