The suggestion here was that these might be merchant ships and possibly be related to the United States of America. “And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” Daniel 12:8-9 Once again, just as Daniel did not understand everything, so too, I do not proclaim to have all of the answers, nonetheless I found this to be an interesting conversation, as I had never studied into that verse of Daniel, let alone correlated it with a prophecy from Balaam. Given the current events with war unfolding between Russia and Ukraine, it seemed good to address the Gog/Magog prophetic future and ponder where Gog/Magog and what the future may hold. “And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? As I write this in January of 2022, on my final visit this article that never had been typed, had been once again laid on my heart to write it. Growing up with a father who was much older than my mother, I had the opportunity to get to know a lot of senior citizens. My father would have turned 100 this past year, if he were still alive, myself only being 43 years old. With him there was a generational gap that gave me an insight into the way of life for those who were much older than myself.
