They Choose Death

“Say to them: As I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, I take no delight in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways!”…  Ezekiel 33:11a

The other day with great anticipation I was watching the Wikileaks press release, during the middle of the night.  Joining many others watching, it had been rumored that there would be a leak by Julian Assange that would essentially end Hillary Clinton’s campaign.  I watched the intro and half-way listened to the speakers, finally giving up on waiting for an announcement after about 45 minutes and retiring to bed for the night.  It wouldn’t be until the next morning that I would check and the rumors about documents that would ruin Clinton’s campaign were unfounded.  During the time I had been watching the live feed to the press conference in Germany, I noticed that there was a comment section running on the YouTube page.

This feed was full of mostly anti-Clinton viewers, also eagerly awaiting some leaked revelation that would end her campaign.  With over 50 thousand people watching live, the amount of comments coming across on the side of the live feed was staggering, scrolling so fast that I could only read a comment or two, before the rest of them were buried by new comments.  My concern was raised as to how many of these from the anti-establishment movement comments were perverse, twisted and evil.  Would God grant them freedom from a society where the strong arm of the establishment seemingly presses upon them continuously?

The woman who was doing the introduction to the live feed had several comments regarding her going up the screen.  There were comments about her removing her clothes, raping her and other such comments.  Then there were the frustrated crowd who was ready for bed and wanted to get on with the show.  Out of those there was numerous comments wishing for her death or injury to the whole outfit.  A lot of other comments both neutral and bad were scrolling past, but the above examples were the worse that I saw.  This is not limited to a YouTube live feed, a lot of Black Lives Matters supporters also tweet and post such things, as well as virtually any movement.

Many articles, whether mainstream or especially alternative news sites also have the same evil plague.  The comments are often full of violence, perverse and evil thoughts.  Often the comments have no argument pro or against the article or venue, but rather just random evil.

“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and did not realize until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”  Matthew 24:37-39

“And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all day long.  And Jehovah regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.  And Jehovah said, I will obliterate man whom I have created from off the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and flying creatures of the heavens, for I regret having made them.”  Genesis 6:5-7

Montana is an interesting state.  Currently we have Senator Daines and U.S. Representative Ryan Zinke, both of who have helped to fund a creation museum for Montana residents and visitors.  Now we also have a republican Governor candidate that also has helped fund the creation museum.  The point is, leaders who acknowledge and believe that God is the Creator, not the evolutionary lie that is pushed upon everyone from coast to coast.  Yet Montana is changing.

Recently Zinke was debating his democratic opponent for his current seat in the House.  His opponent, Denise Juneau, an open lesbian, was talking about how she would work hard to push LGBT rights, Zinke responded that he would not do so, but if people want to be a lesbian, Muslim, it didn’t matter, she had the right to do so.  At this point the crowd booed Zinke regarding that comment.  His position is a biblical one, hers is contrary to the will of God.

To top it off a friend then called me and told me about how the military was changing their policy and would now pay for sex change operations for its transgender solders.  This provoked my mind to recall that my primary citizenship is in Heaven (Phil. 3:20), though I also hold citizenship in the United States.

What happens when compromise begins with society?  The same thing that happens in the Church.

“A little leaven leavens the whole lump.”  Galatians 5:9

God has set forth His guidelines for society.  The Holy Scriptures makes clear what is good or evil, right or wrong.  God has provided Salvation to all who will receive it through repentance and faith into Jesus Christ.  God’s will is not that mankind will choose death, but rather that they would choose life, yet the vast majority of mankind are choosing death at this moment.

They refuse to acknowledge their Creator, they refuse to repent of their sins, they refuse to yield to the Most High and believe into Jesus Christ, His Son.  Instead they promote their doctrines of death and join hands in ensuring that God’s judgment will be just.  Will you, dear reader, also choose death or will you surrender, repent and believe into Jesus Christ, receiving Salvation, becoming a new creation?

“Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin with cart ropes; who say, Let Him hurry and hasten His work, so that we may see it; and let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, so that we may know it!  Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!  Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and understanding in their own sight!  Woe to those mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mix strong drink; who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous!”  Isaiah 5:18-23

“Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has been released from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but in the will of God.  For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in licentiousness, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.  In this regard, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same overflow of dissipation, blaspheming.  They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”  1st Peter 4:1-5

“And if it seems evil to you to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers have served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.”  Joshua 24:15

“Do not be led astray, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap eternal life.”  Galatians 6:7-8

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”  2nd Corinthians 5:17

Amen!
