What will you do?

The nation awoke last week to a devastating hurricane that literally ended up zeroing in on Houston with huge amounts of rainfalls.  I downloaded a rain map that showed Houston as ground zero for the rain.  Then, the now tropical storm, backed up into the Gulf of Mexico and landed in southeast Texas, dropping 25 more inches of rain in a day, totally flooding cities.

When that happened there were a bunch of headlines on the news, but the one that really caught my eye was how the rain was called punishing and there was a quote from a resident begging God to have it stop raining.  The event was terrible and now people are more cautiously eyeing the other storms that are heading towards the United States.  The amount of rain that was dropped in Houston set a record for rainfall in the contiguous United States, never had that much been recorded out of one event…never.

Who is to blame?  Is it simply chance, after all Houston had those reservoirs for a reason, they had been flooded before, in fact a different storm years ago had dropped just a couple of inches less rain.  Was it God’s judgment?  Some speculate so.  What about utilizing HAARP or other technology to weaponize the storm, to cause President Trump a crisis?  There are those who are pushing this theory also.  Around the same time 1,200 people died in a flood in Asia, but we as Americans simply brush that off.

“You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.  But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who abuse you and persecute you, that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”  Matthew 5:43-45

Did people forget about the great earthquake in San Francisco?  How about the Chicago fire?  What about the 200,000 people who died in a Tsunami?  What about the large amounts of death and destruction from the Japanese tsunami?  Things do happen, but a country that has swayed so far away from their Creator would be wise to question their actions against the Almighty.

If a country diligently sought after God, a country that put God first and upheld His holy standards were to have a natural disaster, would they then question if it was God’s judgment?  I don’t have the answer for why it happened, but in all reality it could have been much worse, the death toll could have been higher.  A lot of material items are destroyed, but our minds should not be set on these things.  Those things can be replaced, but a soul who is cast into the Lake of Fire is an undoable ordeal.

“And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:13

“Yea, before the day was, I am He; and no one can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?”  Isaiah 43:15

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  Matthew 6:33

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, prostitutes, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”  Revelation 21:8

This country continues on a trajectory that is contrary to the Most High.  We continue on, as a people, promoting sexual deviance, perversities, as well as a culture whose ideologies are contrary to their Creator.  There is no repentance, there is no awakening to their error, in fact there is only an invite for those who are on the outside to come and join them in their wickedness.  Do you not think that God takes notice?

“Jehovah, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?  They belch forth, and speak arrogant things; all the workers of iniquity boast in themselves.  They crush Your people, O Jehovah, and afflict Your heritage.  They slay the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless.  Yet they say, YAH does not see, nor does the God of Jacob perceive it.  Understand, you stupid ones among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise?  He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?  He who chastens the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?  Jehovah knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.  Blessed is the man whom You correct, O YAH, and teach out of Your Law, that You may give him rest from the evil days, until the pit is dug for the wicked.”  Psalms 94:3-13

Who ponders the fact that at least 45,000,000 residents in the United States live in poor air quality due to mold issues in their homes?  The number of people who work in such environments is equally as staggering.  Who ponders that our wealth as a nation is gone and people continue on pretending it is still there, by utilizing credit to continue the ‘dream’?  Who ponders that the rapidly growing income inequality creates slave-like conditions for the majority of regular workers?  Who ponders that America has the sickest population out of all industrialized nations?  Who ponders that America has the highest rates of cancer?

Why do our people allow the bureaucracy to continue to poison our food system with chemicals and processes banned throughout Europe?  Why do people no longer have natural affection, but relationships via social media or texting?  Why is there so much violence that every city in America knows it?  Why has our government created a prison grid around us, seemingly preparing to come after Americans who hadn’t joined the masses of distracted individuals?  Why do we have so many people with mental illnesses, without acknowledging demon possessed individuals all around us?  Why are a good percentage of the youth so wicked?

What will you do when you are Left Behind, the Rapture having occurred and God’s judgment is truly poured out on the inhabitants of the Earth?  Do you not realize that in harsher conditions, accepting how horrific our situation as a whole society is, and repenting, would be a wondrous thing?  Sometimes in what seems like horrible conditions, like what will happen during the “time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:7)” will actually be merciful as many will come to know the Lord during that time period.

I recall reading a book where people were imprisoned, forced on medications, all for smuggling bibles into the Soviet Union.  Finally a large group of them escaped to another European country, only to see the results of that escape.  Where they had no freedom, were heavily repressed, yet that focused on Christ, had a strong Church that met in the woods and people prepared to lay down their lives for Him; yet in this new country their children were being lost to vanities.  While they now had the freedom to worship as they pleased, in the open, the children became swallowed up by sin and the pleasures of this world, rather than the riches in Christ.

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:19

The time is coming when it will be too late, will you wait until then?  Most people like to deny the Gospel and a large percent of them who claim they don’t, purposely do not put the biblical doctrine of Salvation into their messages.  Just the other day, while watching television, I saw a man on a stage trick a large amount of people, leading them through what is known as the ‘sinner’s prayer’, while a band played soothing music to stir up the emotions.  Then he had them lift their hands up, saying they are now God’s people.  Salvation is simple, it is not complex, but what stands in the way for most people?

For most people, their hearts are what make it complex, they refuse to surrender, they refuse to repent and change from their wicked ways, while believing into Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross and rose again.  They want Salvation, but they don’t want to change to get it.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?  I Jehovah search the heart, I examine the soul, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”  Jeremiah 17:9-10

You can’t wait for the masses of people to repent, each INDIVIDUAL stands before God Almighty, that includes you.  You will be responsible for yourself and if your name is not written in the Book of Life, then you can know your future, your end is eternity in the Lake of Fire.

“So then each of us shall give account concerning himself to God.”  Romans 14:12

“And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.”  Revelation 20:15

Yet God does not desire this, what He desires is that people repent and seek Him.  After all, why else did He send His Son to die on the Cross for our sins?

“Do I delight with pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord Jehovah, and not that he should turn back from his ways and live?”  Ezekiel 18:23

Amen!
