“His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will appoint you administrator over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” Matthew 25:21 This is taken from a parable taught by Jesus. For the purpose of this article, we are only going to focus on the precept taught by Jesus to hear the ‘well done’ by being a good and faithful servant, eventually entering into eternal rest with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There are a lot of people who have hard lives, some more obvious than others. When we go downtown or to known trouble areas of the city, handing out tracts and Bibles, we witness first hand the very hard lives of those who have obviously been captivated by the devil and are on the broad path to destruction (Matthew 7:13). The other day we were making a round and after speaking to several people, handing out a drink and a snack, we were nearing the end of our resources on hand and heading back. We still had a few more drinks and tracts and decided to cross a street where there was some sort of problem playing out. Unbeknownst to us, a domestic dispute had just occurred. This word is a legal governing constituted statute that decrees individuals who hold diplomatic authority to a foreign government or sovereign. Merriam Website Dictionary Online https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ambassador 1 : an official envoy especially : a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment She’s the American ambassador to Italy. 2 a: an authorized representative or messenger b: an unofficial representative When God’s Grace Saves His people, they become ambassadors for Christ. This verse astonishingly informs us that Christians get a new form of citizenship. We thereby become foreigners of our old state. It is kind of like people who migrate to other countries, where they denounce their former citizenship and become naturalized under a new nationality. So rather than turn a biblical principle of financing written piece into a segment about the Sabbath day, this is simply taking a look at an approach of how much should one work in order to pay the bills. Before proceeding, there are all sort of financial problems that people, including Believers, get themselves into. Sadly the VW website is no longer available. We were aware that the website was only paid up through early May 2023 and the company would not allow a check to be sent to pay for additional time. However, the hosting company, that hosted the website was kind enough to continue having kept the website up, without pay, to this point. There is only one way to do so. Using God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures, the Bible (Acts 17:11) as our guide, one can get a glimpse into the attitudes and hearts of the people during that time. Knowing that things are going to continue to get worse (2 Tim. 3:13) and in 2023 watching and being ready (Matt. 24:42-44), believing that the time is sooner than later, though not knowing for certain, our societies around the world already appear to be showing us a preview of things to come. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” 1st Thessalonians 4:17 Everyone has seen and experienced, whether partly or fully participating in the precautionary measures placed on citizens of their respective countries around the world regarding COVID-19, governmental and medical professionals dictated measures that were both voluntary and involuntary throughout their respective states and areas of authority. Many followed these guidance measures out of fear of contracting the virus and becoming very ill or dying from doing so. To this day, even in South Dakota, there are still a measure of people who continue to follow certain policies, even though they are no longer enforced or in many cases recommended.
