Nowhere to Hide!

“And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!  For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”  Revelation 6:15-17

“Then they will begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us! and to the hills, Cover us!”  Luke 23:30

“And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, for the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of His majesty; when He rises up to make the earth tremble.  In that day a man shall throw his idols of silver and gold, which they made each man to bow down to, to the moles and to the bats; to go into the crevices of the rocks, and into the clefts of the cliffs, from the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of His majesty; when He rises up to make the earth tremble.”  Isaiah 2:19-21

A book could be written on the ways that governments and private corporations data mine every single individual in existence.  The mass surveillance (both public and private), the loss of privacy and how to actually work around that system would make for some interesting reading material.  The only problem is that such a book or series of articles would need to be updated quite frequently, with the eventual end update simply being: nowhere to hide.

Technology increases exponentially year after year and with this the ability for a private corporation or the government to collect information, surveil or spy on its citizens, including dissidents.  Take Edward Snowden and the amount of documents that are still being released that show the inner working of the National Security Agency (NSA) and surveillance programs against not only foreign governments, but citizens of the United States.  A few examples should suffice regarding the seriousness of just how out of control and against the Fourth Amendment the spying has gotten in this country.

The NSA has what is called Tailored Access Operations (TAO).  The full scope of what the TAO does is not known, but what is known is that they are responsible for intercepting certain electronics and replacing it with bugged electronics to spy on individuals who are of interest to the NSA.  A prime example would be if a watchlisted individual purchased a laptop computer through a major company online.  That individuals name is going to be run through the NSA, with a secret partnership, and if flagged, when the laptop is shipped, it will be intercepted.  At interception a computer component or two will be replaced with spy equipment that looks identical to the original parts.  The package will then continue on its way to the receiver, the assumption that the end user is none the wiser, with the NSA now able to data mine valuable information, even eavesdropping in the dissidents home or office.  Another example is vehicle travel.

In 2012 the United States government started publicly testing license plate reading cameras connected to federal databases in both Washington state and Michigan.  Secretly beforehand the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) had been doing the same thing, the scale of both operations were somewhat limited in scope.  Fast forward to nearly 2017 and much of the country is a grid connected to cameras that can be accessed by federal agencies.

In many places the license plates of vehicles are captured to show when and where a vehicle was spotted.  To further complicate things, now Bluetooth is being used to also track vehicles in major cities across the United States.  Face recognition cameras are being used to go along with license plate readers and identify not only the driver, but the passenger of the vehicle by matching them to digital driver’s license photos.  As a final example there are surveillance blimps floating above most major cities watching all of their inhabitants 24/7.  Don’t believe it is that bad, do your own research!

This is primarily written for those who will have been Left Behind, the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), more commonly known as the Tribulation or Great Tribulation will have begun.  To a certain extent it appears that governments around the world want people to know that they have these capabilities, at least partially.

As of this writing the movie Snowden is showing in movie theaters.  Talking about President Obama and the police surveillance state, director Oliver Stone stated, “the most massive global security surveillance state that’s ever been seen, way beyond East Germany‘s Stasi, way beyond that.”  The Holy Scriptures tells us the following:

“And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, so that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”  Revelation 13:16-17

Would not such a system require surveillance to control all the financial transactions of the world?  For those who are Left Behind, things are going to be tough, get worse and there is only one solution, believing into Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  For a time you might be able to hide, for a time you may have sufficient supplies, food and other necessities.  Yet without Jesus, you have nothing.

So what happens if you find yourself Left Behind and here you are in the midst of the Great Tribulation?  This is serious stuff.  Understand that you CAN NOT take the mark of the beast or do homage to the beast or his image and receive Salvation through Jesus Christ.  If you take the mark, whatever it may be (you will know when it is time to know), or worship (do homage) to the beast or his image, you have made your choice, you are eternally doomed and will be judged by God accordingly.  There will be those who resist taking the mark or doing homage to the beast or his image, but will still not receive Salvation by believing into Jesus Christ.

“And a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If anyone does homage to the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His anger. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who do homage to the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.  Here is the perseverance of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.  And I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me, Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”  Revelation 14:9-13

For them in the end they still lose.  Even if they are able to evade detection, have years of food, supplies and weapons holed away in some hidden remote spot and are able to effectively fight off any enemies that might detect and try to stop them, without accepting Salvation, they are lost and will ultimately end up in Hell, just as those who take the mark and worship the beast.  While it can not possibly be known what the best form of advice for those who do believe the Gospel, in terms of conduct in a totalitarian society, understand you will most definitely lose your life for Jesus Christ, you will be a martyr.

“And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the Word of God and because of the testimony which they held.  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?  And a white robe was given to each one of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who were about to be killed as they were, was filled up.”  Revelation 6:9-11

“And it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.”  Revelation 13:7

The question that can not be answered beforehand, is simply how long do you have until things get that bad?  Just because you are in the Great Tribulation doesn’t necessary mean that it starts off with harsh conditions and continues all of the way through the seven year period.  In fact, the guess would be that the first half of the Tribulation might not be so bad at all, there could be no mark of the beast for awhile, things could be relatively calm, after all a peace treaty would just have been signed.  The Antichrist would have been unveiled and many would probably now have a firm name on who he is, without all of this guessing that has been going on amongst so-called Christians for years.  As time goes on the Antichrist will be known, but he might not be so obvious to most at first.  The best advice that could be given from a Believer now to one who becomes a Believer in that time period is simple: trust in God, learn about God, follow Christ…even unto death.

“And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the grain offering to cease. And on a corner will be abominations that cause horror, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall be poured out on the desolate.”  Daniel 9:27

If you have or can find a King James bible, a New King James bible, even a New International Version bible, guard it, hide it, keep it safe.  They will come for the bibles, likely they will be outlawed.  Don’t just keep the bible, read it, spend time in it, allow God to prepare your heart for what you will be going through.  Prepare to give your life for Jesus Christ and tell others about Salvation, as the Lord leads.

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine into the land, not a famine for bread, nor a thirst for water, but rather a famine for hearing the Words of Jehovah.  And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall roam to and fro to seek the Word of Jehovah, and they shall not find it.”  Amos 8:11-12

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall affliction, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written: For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Yet in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loves us.  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:35-39

The world you live in is very dangerous and will become more and more dangerous.  You will have to decide whether the Lord is leading your heart to openly proclaim your faith at the current or to meet in secret with others in order to try to evade the Antichrist surveillance state.

“But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.”  Matthew 10:33

Eventually it will simply become impossible to evade detection and whether out of economic necessity, snitches, police state surveillance or other means, you will stand before man and most likely be beheaded.  The Lord will give you strength and the words to speak during that time.  You made the correct choice, you chose to serve the Lord.

“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them; and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not done homage to the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”  Revelation 20:4

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”  Isaiah 41:10a

“Jehovah is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”  Psalms 118:6

“He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life on account of Me will find it.”  Matthew 10:39

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.  We are confident, yes, preferring rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.”  2nd Corinthians 5:7-8

“Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer.”…”Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”  Revelation 2:10

“For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even unto death.”  Psalms 48:14

Amen!
