God’s Just Judgment

“For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and whips every son whom He receives.”  Hebrews 12:6

“My son, do not reject the chastening of Jehovah, and do not loathe His correction; for whom Jehovah loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son with whom he is pleased.”  Proverbs 3:11-12

Without the chastening of the Lord, I don’t believe that our story would ever have had the necessity of being told.  The belief is that I was on the watchlists, noted by some in Washington DC, plus some investigative interest by the Michigan State Police, but without the Lord allowing chastising, my family would never have been one of the few that have been targeted, as of the moment.  A Believer, a true Christian, can not go on living a life that is contrary to following Jesus Christ and expect to not have consequences for their backslidden and carnal state.

Likewise the world can not continue on living as if there is no Creator and no consequences for their rebellion and sin.  While Believers are not without sin, continuing with a refusal to repent will lead to consequences from the Most High, if the offender is truly Saved.  God has provided the Way of Salvation through repentance and believing into His Son, Jesus Christ.  He has been patient with mankind, not wanting any to perish, but He was never going to tarry forever.   Understand that this is primarily written for those who have been Left Behind and now find themselves in the midst of the Tribulation.

“Do not be led astray, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap eternal life.”  Galatians 6:7-8

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  1st John 1:9

“Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6

…”testifying both to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Acts 20:21

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has established a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has appointed. He has given assurance of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”  Acts 17:30-31

“For everyone, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:13

“But, beloved, do not be unaware of this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is longsuffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”  2nd Peter 3:8-9

Jesus described these days as the days of Noah.  Indeed by all appearance we appear to be right about there as it is nearly 2017, but this is being written for those who were Left Behind and are now living in the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7).

“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and did not realize until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. ”  Matthew 24:37-39

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.  Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;  but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.  Even in the same way will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”  Luke 17:26-30

“There were giants on the earth in those days. And also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them, these were the mighty men from antiquity, men of renown.  And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all day long.  And Jehovah regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.  And Jehovah said, I will obliterate man whom I have created from off the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and flying creatures of the heavens, for I regret having made them.”  Genesis 6:4-7

“I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”  Luke 18:8

What will man’s opinion be of God Almighty?  Will those of the world consider and think that His judgment is righteous and just?  For one we know that multitudes are Saved during this current time period, but the Holy Scriptures also tell us of another group of people, who despite God’s just judgment, refuse to repent of their wickedness.

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one was able to number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  Revelation 7:9-10

“And they blasphemed the God of Heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.”  Revelation 16:11

The fact is God’s judgment is just and His hand of mercy still extends to mankind, even at this very moment to those who are willing and able to accept Salvation.

“Is mortal man more righteous than God? Is a strong man more pure than his Maker?”  Job 4:17

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the Law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through the faith of Jesus Christ, to all and upon all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, to give evidence of His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to prove at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who is of the faith of Jesus.”  Romans 3:21-26

“O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.”  Psalms 7:9

“But Jehovah shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for justice.  And He shall judge the world in righteousness; He shall execute judgment to the people with equity.”  Psalms 9:7-8

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.”  Psalms 45:6

“Adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore purposes to be a friend of the world is shown to be opposing God.”  Jacob 4:4

“Declare and approach; yea, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from antiquity? Who has told it since then? Is it not I, Jehovah. And there is no other God besides Me; a just Mighty God and a Savior; there is no one besides Me.  Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am the Mighty God, and there is no other.  I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”  Isaiah 45:21-23

“For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait upon Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth.  For yet a little while, and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall be no more.  But the lowly shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.  The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.  Jehovah laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming.”  Psalms 37:9-13

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  The one believing into Him is not judged; but the one not believing is judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.  For everyone practicing evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But the one doing the truth comes to the Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been worked in God.”  John 3:16-21

Understand that these things must take place, this is all part of God’s plan for humanity.  Satan has deceived the world and due to man’s sinful nature, the world has gotten to this point.  What you must understand is that not only is the world worthy of God’s just judgment, it is deserving.

“And I saw another sign in Heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is finished.  And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the glassy sea, having harps of God.  And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints.  Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and do homage before You, for Your righteous deeds have been manifested.”  Revelation 15:1-4

“As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God.  They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one.  Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.  Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known.  There is no fear of God before their eyes.”  Romans 3:10-18

“The righteous Jehovah is in her midst; He will do no wrong. Every morning He gives His justice to the light; He does not fail, but the unjust knows no shame.  I have cut off nations; their towers are desolate. I made their streets waste, so that no one passes by. Their cities are laid waste, without a man, with no inhabitant.  I said, Surely you will fear Me; you will receive instruction; so that her dwelling should not be cut off, all that I appointed for her. But they rose up early; they corrupted all their doings.  Therefore, wait for Me, declares Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey. For My judgment is to gather the nations, for Me to gather the kingdoms, to pour My fury out on them, all My burning anger. For all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of My jealousy.”  Zephaniah 3:5-8

Right now, though Israel is the main focus, the entire world is undergoing God’s just judgment.  What is inevitably going to happen is that each person is going to be judged by God INDIVIDUALLY.  There each person will be held accountable for their sin and whether or not their name is written in the Book of Life.

If your name is not written in the Book of Life then you will be cast into the Lake of Fire, where you will remain for eternity, part of God’s just judgment.  This is a -serious- matter if you can just consider eternity.  Yet for those who have repented and believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, accepting the free gift of Salvation that God the Father provided for all of humanity, for them a job well done, enter into the rest of your Lord (Matthew 25:21).

Either you can realize the depravity of mankind, including the sin in your own life and seek God while He may still be found or you can be like the other crowd who refuses to repent of their wickedness, joining them in everlasting weeping and gnashing of teeth, in the Lake of Fire.

“Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.”  Isaiah 55:6

“There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves being thrust outside.”  Luke 13:28

“And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God. And books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, out of the things which were written in the books.  And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one, according to their works.  And Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.  And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.”  Revelation 20:12-15

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, prostitutes, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”  Revelation 21:8

“And they shall go out and observe the dead corpses of the men who have rebelled against Me. For their worm does not die, nor is their fire quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”  Isaiah 66:24

“For this let everyone who is godly pray unto You, in a time when You may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near him.”  Psalm 32:6

Amen!
