“And they said, There is no hope; but we will walk after our own thoughts, and we will each one do according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.” Jeremiah 18:12
“For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is clearly recognized by them, for God has revealed it to them. For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they know God, they do not glorify Him as God, nor are thankful, but become vain in their reasonings, and their stupid hearts are darkened. Professing to be wise, they become foolish, and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gives them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who change the truth of God into the lie, and fear and serve the created things more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gives them up to vile passions. For even their women change the natural use for what is contrary to nature. Likewise also the men, abandoning the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men performing what is shameful, and receiving the retribution within themselves, the penalty which is fitting for their error. And even as they do not like to have God in their full true knowledge, God gives them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with every unrighteousness, sexual perversion, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, depravity; whisperers, defamers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do them, but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:18-32
A recent survey suggested that the amount of adults who believe in God is on a decline, one, that if time allowed, is expected to continue in that trend. In Europe atheism is on the rise, with more atheist in Norway than those who even believe in God. Yet it should be pointed out that despite now 89% of Americans claim to believe in God, down from 98% in the early 60’s, would it even matter?
Nearly every article out there suggests to the reading public that eventually less and less people will believe in God. Many supposed christian websites push out articles pointing to the decline as a sign of the times. Perhaps, but taking a different spin on the numbers the question must be presented.
If 89% of Americans still believe in God, is it the God of the bible or ‘a god’ that they believe in? If 89% of Americans believe in God, why do the vast majority live as if there is no God?
“You believe that God is One. You do well. Even the demons believe, and shudder.” Jacob 2:19
If the far vast majority of Americans believe in God, then why do they not follow the Holy Scriptures?
Is God silent on His take regarding the LGBT movement?
Did God not declare how mankind should treat one another?
Is God not able to be found and known by mankind?
Did God not give warnings regarding sexual perversity and adultery?
Has God been silent about abortion?
Has not God warned about the coming Judgment and given mankind time to repent and believe in His Son Jesus Christ?
As these movements continue to spread across this country and the world, does not mankind see that the just judgment of God will eventually come upon them? Do they not realize that there will be a ‘starting gun’, the Rapture of the Church, that will hoist upon the world “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7) or the Great Tribulation? How much time is left before such events begin to unfold, how much time is left, before there is simply no time left.
If a warning could be given to the entire world that they must repent and believe into Jesus Christ, how many of those would simply say that they will ‘do according to the stubbornness’ of their evil hearts. Yet out of the mercies of God, some indeed would listen, some would yield to their Creator and be Saved. You, dear reader, if you have been thinking about these things for some time, if you have been uncertain or unwilling to yield, to repent, to believe into Jesus Christ and be Saved, how much longer do you have or how much longer will you wait? Can you wait much longer?!
For those who are of the 89% who believe in God, which god do you believe in? The God of the bible, the Most High God, your Creator or a god that caters to you liberal beliefs, a god that has a preacher who teaches your intolerant hearts what you want to hear, a god that allows you to live your life as you want, not having a repentant heart, one that follows a formula of some words or actions, or a god is in ‘everything’ or ‘all religions lead to god’ philosophy. If that is you, if your god is tolerant to sodomy, abortion, sexual immorality, adultery, every kind of wickedness, which is contrary to the Holy Scriptures, than the god that you serve is not a god at all, but a figment of your imagination. For God Almighty has declared Himself, He has sent His Son who died on the Cross for the sins of mankind, for all who would receive, His prophets have testified, and His Word is true, He is not tolerant of man’s wickedness and will not always be patient and merciful with them, if that is you, then you are intolerant to the ways of the Mighty God, you are walking contrary to Him, unto your own destruction.
“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is unveiled, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is honored, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, declaring of himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be unveiled in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He is now restraining, until it is raised from out of the midst. And then the lawless one will be unveiled, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2nd Thessalonians 2:3-12
“For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2nd Corinthians 6:2
“And he said to me, Do not seal the Words of the Prophecy of this Book, for the time is at hand. He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to what his work shall be. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and prostitutes and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and produces a lie.” Revelation 22:10-15
“Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15
