Atrocities

This is being written as hurricane Irma is churning out in the Atlantic, with hurricane Harvey in people’s minds, the perceived threat as to what will occur is yet unknown.  Historically hurricanes on that path often hit Florida OR turn and go to the North Atlantic, hitting no one.  Yet as this is also being written, smoke continues to fill the skies in Kalispell, Montana on a daily basis.

The Los Angeles area has the La Tuna wildfire, which is the biggest ever recorded in the area.  With Montana’s ‘flash drought’ we continue to get very little rain and still unseasonable warm weather.  Just a little spark and another wildfire will appear somewhere, this with thunderstorms forecast in a few days.  As the flood waters from Houston are drying up, people are starting to speculate that this is either God’s judgment or considering that somehow this is pointing to a major end times event.  Of course these who ponder the later, are in every case I see, those who also purport that there will be no Rapture or it will be at the end of the Tribulation (“time of Jacob’s trouble” Jer. 30:7).

Well I can’t speak on behalf of God and neither can they, unless God has truly given them some insight.  Sure these are interesting times that we live in, but these are times where instead of people looking and presuming that God is going to come in and ‘fix’ all of man’s woes, they should be looking at fixing their hearts before our Creator, before it is too late.  As I watch these things unfold, and ponder the outcome regarding North Korea, I must admit it is not welcoming to see all of these things, yet I know that if it is God’s judgment, it is just.  America can’t seem to get enough evil in, committing atrocity after atrocity.

There are some that claim that the KGB developed a plan that went into full motion, still continuing to this day, to destroy America through subversion, slowly over time.  The very first step of this was to create an increase in demoralization, which was expected to take nearly a generation.  Indeed the amount of younger adults who deny that God even exits is nearly 50/50, verses the older generations where it is often close to 90% who do believe in Him.  Yet belief in God is not enough, one must repent and believe into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

“You believe that God is One. You do well. Even the demons believe, and shudder.”  Jacob (James) 2:19

Certainly we have elected officials who seem bent on putting Marxism as a way of our society and by all means they do appear to have accomplished much in that regard.  The recent explosion of Antifa, shows how a ‘tolerant’ so-called group can actually become a backbone of a movement that during tough times would be equal to the Bolsheviks of Russia or the brown shirts of Nazi Germany.  Given the right circumstances, chaos could easily ensue and our country could be swallowed up, the lock down finished, the prison grid fully in place and those who refuse to bow to such an evil regime, hunted down and placed in concentration camps and prisons.

Shall I list off the most recent atrocities from my local area, Montana or even the United States?  Indeed not!  Rather let me point out that a nation or a world that forgets just who God is, what He requires and that simply sinners need to repent, is a nation or a world that is in big trouble.  The Holy Scriptures clearly lays out that a time will come when God will judge the nations and certainly it should be obvious as to why.

“And He shall judge among the nations and shall rebuke many people. And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war anymore.”  Isaiah 2:4

“All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.  But you are cast out of your grave like an abhorred branch, and like the apparel of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; like a carcass trampled under foot.  You shall not be joined with them in burial, because you destroyed your land and killed your people; the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.  Prepare slaughter for his children because of the iniquity of their fathers, so that they may not rise nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.  For I will rise up against them, says Jehovah of Hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, and offspring, and posterity, says Jehovah.  I will also make it a possession for the hedgehog, and marshes of muddy water; and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction, says Jehovah of Hosts.  Jehovah of Hosts has sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so it shall come to pass; and as I have purposed, so it shall stand; to break Assyria in My land, and on My mountains to trample him under foot. Then his yoke shall be removed from them, and his burden shall be taken from off their shoulders.  This is the purpose that is purposed upon all the earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.  For Jehovah of Hosts has purposed, and who shall annul it? And His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?”  Isaiah 14:18-27

“All the nations before Him are as nothing; and to Him they are accounted as less than nothing, and vanity.  To whom then will you compare the Mighty God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?”  Isaiah 40:17-18

To those who can hear, to those who can see, to those who can understand, please consider for a moment that the nations of the world are not going to repent, that eventually what has been prophesied in the Bible is certain, as certain as the sun coming up tomorrow, it’s going to happen.  So that is why we always try to persuade the individual to come to God, to repent and accept His free gift, Salvation through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ paid the penalty on the Cross for your sins.  He died and rose again from the dead, all you have to do is simply repent and believe into Him.

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to every person, because everyone sinned.”  Romans 5:12

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

“Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was accounted to him, but also for us, to whom it shall be accounted, believing in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.”  Romans 4:23-25

“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.”  2nd Corinthians 7:10

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”  2nd Corinthians 5:17

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”  John 3:16-17

“But what does it say? The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the Word of Faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:8-9

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those believing into His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”  John 1:12-13

“For the love of Christ holds us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them and rose again.”  2nd Corinthians 5:14-15

“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.”  Matthew 28:6

“Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6

Do you ponder what is going on in the world?  Do you wonder if we are living in the end times?  Do you wait to see what is going to happen?  Please understand that most of those who write these things WILL NOT tell you the full Gospel message.  Most of those will tell you there is not a pretribulation Rapture, a flat out lie.  Those who are waiting for Jesus Christ to come and gather us to Himself, are watching and ready, waiting to hear the Trumpet and be Home with the Lord forever.  Will you join us before it is too late?  Will you change your ways or will you be part of the deserving judgment of the nation you live in, just one more reason for God to invoke just justice.

Time is running out, I urge you to consider.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only.”  Matthew 24:36

“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord comes.”  Matthew 24:42

Amen!
