“Unto You, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.” Psalms 25:1
In who else does the Believer put their trust into? Who else do we lift up our souls up to? There is none, but God Almighty!
“I am Jehovah, and there is none other, no God besides Me”… Isaiah 45:5a
“O my God, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none who wait upon You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.” Psalms 25:2-3
The missionaries who braved the harsh jungles of Africa and still brave such conditions, those whom God has called to preach the Gospel to those in the ends of the earth, who do they put their trust into? The preachers who hold underground churches in repressive regimes throughout all of the world, in whom do they put their trust? The Christians in those same countries who spread the Gospel to those who are willing to hear, who become Saved in the midst of oppression from their family and peers, in whom do they put their trust into? Those who knock on doors, spreading the Gospel in the harshest neighborhoods in the United States, to whom do they put their trust into? Certainly God, for their is no other.
For if God has called them, if they are truly Saved, if they have repented and believed the Gospel, if by faith they have believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, then what fear do they have in doing what the Lord has called them to do?
“And do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who has power to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.” Matthew 10:28
For a moment, let’s ponder those who are truly Christians, those who live in countries throughout the world, like the United States, Canada, UK, Australia, much of Europe and similar places where they refuse or hardly do, as the Lord leads them, to tell others about Christ, about Salvation! Then considering those who boldly go where logic would tell them that it is very dangerous to do so, proclaiming Christ as Savior to those who will hear! Let us not be ashamed standing before Jesus at the Judgment Seat of Christ (Rom. 14:12), because of fear of people speaking words that are unfavorable to your ears.
“Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; upon You do I wait all day long.” Psalms 25:4-5
As a Christian, who is in control, who leads the Believer, whom do we look to, whom do we follow? Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
“All the paths of Jehovah are mercy and truth, to those who keep His Covenant and His Testimonies.” Psalms 25:10
How many Christians out there seek God’s help regarding their endeavors, rather than seeking to keep His Covenant and His Testimonies? If we as Believers are to follow Christ, if we are called to do something, whether simply telling your family and friends about Salvation, should we not be diligently following Him and doing as we are lead to do? What if our paths that we want to put our faith into Him are not His paths that He has planned for us? Should we not first seek God and follow where He leads?
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:33-34
“A man’s heart devises his way, but Jehovah arranges his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
…” Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105
For those who are called by the Lord to do His will, to spread the Gospel in places where man might otherwise consider to be dangerous, know this and remember this.
“My eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me, and have mercy upon me, for I am alone and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses. Look upon my affliction and my pain, and forgive all my sins. Consider my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. Keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I have waited upon You.” Psalms 25:15-21
God is in control and all you have to do is trust and obey!
