“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6a “Behold, is it not of Jehovah of Hosts that the people labor only to feed the fire, and nations weary themselves only for vanity.” Habakkuk 2:13 The other day I noticed a click-bait advertisement for photos of life in the 1950’s. Knowing history in the United States fairly well, I decided to see what exactly they were trying to push with such an article. While going through it, I noticed that they spent some time discussing how easy it was for a one income family back in the 1950’s to purchase a home and pay it off. Now my family history has an oddity to it, as my father was much older than the average father. So for many years, until his death, I heard of stories of how things worked back when he was young. Growing up in northern Michigan, I also got my hands on a book about the Hedrick family of Harbor Springs, who offered a very good first hand account of the early settler days in that region of the state. While that was in the late 1800’s, still the accounts of everyday life for the average person was somewhat similar. At 40 years old, I have had discussions with my friends for many years regarding the cost of living, verses trying to carve out a niche in the world. All Will Stand is comitted to helping spread the Gospel throughout the world, wherever and whenever possible. The people of Venezuela have been long suffering under a terrible economic crash that has caused a once great Latin American country to all but fail. Our heart goes out to those who are in Venezuela and our prays are with those who are true Christians, working to spread the Gospel amongst their fellow citizens. Given the circumstances, the Lord laid it upon my heart to seek out those who are truly doing His work and provide economic support during these troubled times in Venezuela. Thus Project Venezuela was created, a missions based portion of All Will Stand to provide aid to those who are true Christians to assist them in their endeavors. As the Lord provides, we will continue this endeavor, not knowing the fullness of the outcome, but knowing that whatever happens will be according to His will. I received a phone call today about the passing of Paul F. Becker. Paul Becker, from Spokane, Washington, went Home to be with the Lord, whom he faithfully served for years with the A Voice in the Wilderness ministry. His website was www.a-voice.org and is truly a testimony of a man who sought to clearly make the paths of the Lord straight for the entire world to read. God took care of Paul Becker throughout his lifetime and as a dear friend, he will be greatly missed. Yet for those who know the Lord, truly one day my friend will be seen again.
