Psalms Walk-Thru #013

“How long will You forget me, O Jehovah? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?  How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my inner being daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?  Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God; enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, and those who oppress me rejoice when I am shaken.”  Psalms 13:1-4   Sometimes a Believer, a true Christian who has repented and believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, might call out to God.  The hope might be for an immediate response, it might be that whatever it is that the Believer is calling out to God for, might be resolved, according to His will.  There are times that a Christian is waiting on the Lord, but are pressed regarding there seemingly being no answer regarding the supplication made to Him who Created them.   Certainly such things happen.  Who can tell God when the right time to respond is?  Who can contend with Him?  Who else can a Believer go to?  No one.    “Truly I know it is so; but how can a man be just before the Mighty God?  If one wished to contend with Him, he could not answer Him one time out of a thousand.  He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and been at peace?  He removes the mountains, and they do not know when He overturns them in His anger;  He...

To the Oppressed of the World

“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise, says Jehovah; I will set him in the safety for which he pants.”  Psalms 12:5   All over the world there are those who are oppressed.  How often does man’s system of oppression, through various means, affect a large amount of people through greed and a desire of control?  How often are people struggling throughout their entire lives, just trying to make a life for themselves and their family?    While those who reside in the United States have such plights, those numbers are nothing in comparison with those throughout the world, those who are the oppressed of the world.  Literally what was God’s original intention has become rotten through the consequences of sin entering the world.  The curse has made things to where they are today.   Let’s just be frank about the state of our societies of the world.  Quite often the focus has recently been on the ridiculous amount of increase in bubbles, as well as debt throughout the world.  The focus is often on those who are in the midst of this system, putting their treasures of the world (Matthew 6:19-21), before seeking God Almighty, their Creator, of whom they will give an account to (1st Peter 4:5).  Yet there is a world, one of which I have seen with my own eyes, that is outside of the scope of those same people who literally live for the moment and blow with every wind of doctrine that comes their way or joining in movements or trendy events as they...

Psalms Walk-Thru #012

“Unto You, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.”  Psalms 25:1   In who else does the Believer put their trust into?  Who else do we lift up our souls up to?  There is none, but God Almighty!   “I am Jehovah, and there is none other, no God besides Me”…  Isaiah 45:5a   “O my God, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.  Yea, let none who wait upon You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.”  Psalms 25:2-3   The missionaries who braved the harsh jungles of Africa and still brave such conditions, those whom God has called to preach the Gospel to those in the ends of the earth, who do they put their trust into?  The preachers who hold underground churches in repressive regimes throughout all of the world, in whom do they put their trust?  The Christians in those same countries who spread the Gospel to those who are willing to hear, who become Saved in the midst of oppression from their family and peers, in whom do they put their trust into?  Those who knock on doors, spreading the Gospel in the harshest neighborhoods in the United States, to whom do they put their trust into?  Certainly God, for their is no other.    For if God has called them, if they are truly Saved, if they have repented and believed the Gospel, if by faith they have believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, then what fear do they have in doing what the Lord...
