There are no excuses as to why mankind should not understand their sinful condition and believe the Gospel. “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is clearly recognized by them, for God has revealed it to them. They are corrupt; they have done abominable works, there is no one who does good.” Psalms 14:1 How much of the world would prefer to say there is no God? Truly as the time until the end continues, more and more join the ranks of not only being corrupt, but also making such a foolish statement. “Professing to be wise, they become foolish, and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:22-23 Just on the surface, as a Christian, I could only imagine life without Christ, without the joy of the Lord, what a hopeless state! To me, to consider that there are those who go throughout life denying their Creator is but unimaginable in my life. Even though I was Saved at the relatively young age of 9, I still believed in God beforehand. Having lived in Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago and even a bit of time in Toledo, there is no comparison. Driving the other night between two small Montana towns, the realization of the scope of potential trouble on the horizon, thinking of how America is so backslidden before God, my spirit was deeply troubled. Imagine for a moment, if you will, your respective city. Whether it be a small town on the plains of America, a big hustling urban center of a major city, a medium sized city or even the rural countryside, miles away from the nearest gas station, if the lights went out. “If one of your brethren becomes poor, and his hand has become shaky, then you shall support him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.” Leviticus 25:35 Many of the younger generation in America support being global citizens. Some of their beliefs include food, shelter, education and basic medical needs for all people, with little or no regard to borders or their own countries. While the idea, often mixed with flavors of both socialism and communism, might seem noble to some on the surface, undoubtedly they are being prepped for the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation. Through the federal government strong arming against state sovereignty regarding controlling the content of our respective education systems in this country, they have over a generation of those who through moral relativism, humanistic and propaganda, as well as just plain old ignorance, prepared to accept the coming Antichrist. Let me place a note here that the Rapture will happen before this time period begins, despite what the naysayers proclaim. A moral society could never go down this road. Recently I had an exchange with the person who does the translating work for the Spanish language section of All Will Stand. In that exchange they made mention of “what more can I do”, the same thing is on my heart regarding the work of the Lord. Many Believers around the world have the same feeling that the “time is at hand” (Rev. 22:10) and the world doesn’t have much time left. Truly we can’t know how much time we have left (Matt. 24:36), but we also must not slacken our work that Jesus has called us to do as Christians (Matt. 28:19-20). A radio show regarding this topic will be up online soon, but the issue really is pressing. Just how often do we as “citizens of Heaven” (Phil. 3:20), forget just how important the task is that is presented before us. Not everyone is called to preach, not everyone is called to be a pastor of a church or a Sunday school teacher, etc., but often times just by our communication, we can have an effect on those who are lost and dying. “In this regard, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same overflow of dissipation, blaspheming. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” 1st Peter 4:4-5 We know that the apostasy (2 Tim. 4:3) that we are seeing was foretold prophetically, we see the evil fruits of this terrible thing throughout the world. “Jehovah shall judge the people; judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity within me. O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds. My defense is from God, who saves the upright in heart. God judges the righteous, and the Mighty God is angry with the wicked every day.” Psalms 7:8-11 If only sometimes it was told as it really is, if only the truth about God was boldly proclaimed, without worrying about being looked down upon. Then when those who proclaim things that are not, proclaiming lies against their Creator are corrected in the open, what would those who are within earshot do with such knowledge? Consider our education system. Our children are taught that evolution is responsible for their existence, yet this is not what God’s Word teaches. (Rom. 1) What if there was a revolt against these lies, instead of allowing rebellion against God Almighty? Should those who know otherwise, who know God’s truth in the matter, sit silently? The people of Venezuela have been long suffering under a terrible economic crash that has caused a once great Latin American country to all but fail. Our heart goes out to those who are in Venezuela and our prays are with those who are true Christians, working to spread the Gospel amongst their fellow citizens. Given the circumstances, the Lord laid it upon my heart to seek out those who are truly doing His work and provide economic support during these troubled times in Venezuela. In a modern day age, one would presume that the seemingly all powerful governments, particularly the United States government, would be most able to provide swift and abundant aid to a natural disaster in one of our held territories. While aid is certainly pouring in, the amount of destruction that hurricane Maria caused makes this task a slow and for some a deadly game of trying to wait for help to arrive. When the infrastructure of an area is all but destroyed, roads are washed away and people are left in areas that are no longer accessible by road, far from the major cities, the truth of the matter becomes known to those who experience such disasters first hand. Mankind is not able to immediately offer assistance to those who are in need, yet cutoff from the rest of the world. Numerous news reports about the devastating fires in California had quotes from first hand accounts of people involved who thought that perhaps the end had come or that Armageddon was ongoing. There were people who took photos that made their rounds across the globe in the media regarding how California’s Disneyland looked liked a scene from Hell. There were those who were thinking and saying the same thing when Harvey hit Texas, when Irma hit tropical islands, etc. They thought perhaps the end was upon them, as devastation appeared on all sides around them, as far as they could see. In one case there were people begging for God to make the rain stop from Harvey, as the nonstop rain became the biggest rain event in the continental United States recorded history. All of these terrible disasters the United States has been experiencing are just a drop in the bucket of similar events that have been taking place around the world. Unfortunately many in America hold an attitude of such self worth that they care little about floods in Asia or terrifying events in India.
